Police in Florida have captured a large snake that neighbours suspected was eating their cats.
The officers posted a photo of them with the 12ft-long Burmese python, which weighs120lb.
On Friday, Sergeant John Holman found a dead cat after Port St Lucie police responded to reports of the snake.
He then discovered the reptile hidden in scrubland, and after calling for back up, officers helped him remove it.
A number of cats have vanished in the surrounding area, residents say.
Police said the python belonged to an owner who had a licence to keep it.
It is illegal to own a python in Florida without a permit.
