Have you seen our special section on the capital’s best pubs? It’s now grown to include 350 venues, stretching from Barnet to Carshalton, and Hanwell to East Ham.
Unlike other beery sites, most of the entries are decided by our readers. For the past three years, we’ve conducted a monthly poll to find the best pubs in a particular part of town (most recently Mile End). We then visit the top four or five places (with any readers who want to join us), get some photos, and add these places to our Best Pubs site. We’ve also topped things up with a few of our own favourites.
The site includes a clever search function to help you find the perfect pub. If you need a dog-friendly place with a pool table, for example, just tick the appropriate boxes.
We still have plenty of areas to explore, and new places to try within areas already covered, so please do shout out in the comments if you think we’re really missing a trick somewhere (it’s inevitable with a city the size of London). Upcoming areas we’ll be putting to public vote include Crystal Palace, Crouch End, Wanstead & Forest Gate and Shepherd’s Bush.
Have a play, and see what you think.
