Passengers waiting for a Tube on the Victoria line were surprised when an electronic board showed the next one would arrive in 52 minutes.
The London Underground is known for delays but this one seemed incredibly long.
Commuters at Green Park soon realised it was an error though when a train turned up within two minutes.
The long times were also spotted at Victoria underground station, with one person joking some people would have still waited if they were real.
‘Either that or they were being typically British and waiting,’ he told London24.
Another commuter said they were told the error occurred over the bank holiday weekend due to a part suspension of the Victoria Line.
Transport for London has yet to comment.
