Armed police will be deployed at the friendly football match between England and France at Wembley on Tuesday evening.

The increased police presence was confirmed by deputy assistant commander Peter Terry from the Met’s Specialist Crime and Operations unit.

England fans will reportedly sing the French national anthem La Marseillaise at Wembley in a show of solidarity with those that lost their lives in the Paris terror attacks.

The FA confirmed the match would go ahead in the wake of the massacre, where the Stade de France was targeted during a game between Les Bleus and Germany.
