Six members of a UN team investigating alleged chlorine gas attacks in Syria have been abducted along with their five local drivers, state media report.
A foreign ministry statement said they were seized while trying to reach the village of Kafr Zaita in Hama province.
After leaving their government escort outside Tayyiba Imam, a bomb exploded beside one of their vehicles, it said.
There is no confirmation by the chemical weapons watchdog overseeing Syria’s chemical disarmament, the OPCW.
