A thug who bit off a Good Samaritan’s nose and spat it out on the street during a drunken rampage has been jailed for six years.
Daniel Reynolds downed a litre of vodka before the brutal attack which left victim his victim, Robert Powell, with a hole in his face, News North Wales reports.
The 20-year-old was seen kicking and punching a young woman in Mold, Wales, when the Good Samaritan tried to intervene, shouting “get off her”.
Reynolds then turned on Powell, who was out celebrating his 50th birthday, biting off the tip of his nose.
Judge Niclas Parry told him: ‘It is frankly… almost incomprehensible that one human being can act towards a second human being in the way that you did.”
‘You bit his nose off. It is no exaggeration to say that to the lay observer you left him as if he had a hole in the middle of his face.
‘You knew what you were doing after drinking a litre of vodka.’
Reynolds, who said he does not remember the March 8 incident, was jailed after admitting a charge of wounding with intent.
His victim need reconstruction surgery to re-build the tip of his nose.
