Dough! Man buys bread sliced the wrong way, gives rise to Twitter debate

A shopper who bought a bag of Kingsmill bread was bemused to find it had been sliced the wrong way.

Hiren Vekaria returned home from Asda when he made the bizarre discovery, also noticing fungus growing on it.

Mr Vekaria immediately tweeted both the bread manufacturers and the supermarket chain to show his dissatisfaction.

‘Not only was the Kingsmill bread I bought at Asda sliced the wrong way it had fungus growing on it!’ he wrote.

Kingsmill replied soon afterwards apologising and offering the man a refund.

However, the response from social media was more intriguing, with users suggesting the super-sliced loaf could be a revolutionary new way of making sandwiches.

Even if Mr Vekaria was unhappy with his purchase, at yeast he’s raised an interesting debate.
