EE emails customer to call him a ‘F***ing c***’ after he hangs up

A man who hung up on an EE call handler after he called to discuss paying his bills was sent an email calling him a ‘F***ing C***.’

The filthy-mouthed mail was signed off, ‘Kind regards, EE’.

Charlie Doherty, from Bexleyheath, south east London got into an argument when the call handler refused to accept a £35 payment.

Doherty said, ‘It is one thing being rude on the phone in the heat of the moment and regretting it and another thing all together sitting down and sending a sweary email to a customer.’Email

The network says that Doherty had been told he had outstanding charges on his account – and had hung up with the words, ‘F*** you, you c***’.

EE said, ‘The email Mr Doherty received is inexcusable and appropriate action has been taken against the member of staff.’
