First speakers announced for WIRED Retail (Wired UK)

The first 11 companies pitching on the Startup Stage at WIRED Retail Together with Valtech have been announced. They include some of the most innovative companies disrupting and challenging the retail sector.

WIRED Retail Together with Valtech returns to London on November 23 at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. It is our second annual one-day summit exploring the future of retailing with those who are building it.

With the sector undergoing a rapid, digital-led transformation, WIRED Retail will gather dynamic speakers who will lead the audience beyond the cutting edge of today. 

For the Startup Stage we have drawn together influencers from virtual reality to robotics, bitcoin payments to mining receipt-data for insights. The newly announced speakers and their companies are:

They join previously announced Main Stage speakers including Jo Bertram, who leads Uber’s UK, Ireland and Nordic operations; Jessi Baker, founder of Provenance; Cristian van Tienhoven of Amazon Merchant Services; Sebastian Siemiatkowski, co-founder & CEO of Klarna; and Paul Clarke, director of technology at Ocado Technology.

More Startup Stage speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Together with headline partner Valtech WIRED Retail will once again bring together startups, tech giants and established high-street players to explain and discuss the converging trends and technologies disrupting commerce today, and bringing retail into the digital age.

It will offer a future-facing look at the emerging opportunities for smart retailers, disruptors, investors, marketers, designers, advertisers, buyers and policymakers.
