Galaxy S6 Edge+ top 10 features: Wireless charging, 4GB RAM and curved QHD display

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ has been officially announced at the Samsung Unpacked 2015 event, following weeks of rumours and leaks.

Unveiled alongside the Galaxy Note 5 – which isn’t coming to the UK – the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is a 5.7in “phablet” version of the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone, which launched earlier this year.

As such, it includes the same distinctive curved screen as the Galaxy S6 Edge, as well as introducing a handful of upgrades. Here are the 10 features to look out for when the Galaxy S6 Edge+ launches on 4 September.

Samsung usually adopts a “more is more” approach to pre-loaded applications, which often means its products arrive heaving with bloatware. Fortunately, there’s one inclusion on the Galaxy S6 Edge+ that will likely prove helpful: a full suite of Microsoft Office apps, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

These apps can, of course, be installed on most Android devices for free. Nonetheless, their presence on the Galaxy S6 Edge+ straight out of the box suggests Samsung is aiming to create an even more business-friendly handset than the original Samsung Galaxy S6 – not to mention competing devices like the iPhone 6 Plus.
