The company behind the Grand Theft Auto video games has claimed Lindsay Lohan is only suing them to get media attention.

The Mean Girls actress originally filed a lawsuit against Take Two Interactive over the character Lacey Jonas, who appears in the series’ latest installment, Grand Theft Auto V.

Take Two says the fictional Jonas is similar to Lohan in that she is a young, blonde woman, adding that her claim is frivolous and ‘filed for publicity purposes’.

Lohan claims Lacey Jonas uses her image, voice and style – even accusing the company of outfitting the character in clothes that resemble her own fashion line.

She also cited the fact Jonas stays in the game’s proxy for the Chateau Marmont, the Hollywood hotel where Lohan lived for an extended period.

You’ve almost got to commend such a willingness to protect your image, even though you’ll happily release a list of people you’ve had sex with, walk around Selfridges naked and pen a book about your time in rehab.

The company is requesting a New York judge dismiss the case and cover their legal fees.

‘The complaint is a bad-faith filing and abuse of the court system and should be dismissed,’ Take Two added.
