Halo developer 343 Industries’ Bonnie Ross and Dan
Ayoub have announced the Halo: The Master Chief
Collection
is coming to Xbox One on 11 November.

The collection is designed to “introduce a new generation of
fans to the Halo universe”, including all four existing games on
one disc. To mark the tenth anniversary of Halo 2, the
game will be getting the anniversary treatment, playable in
upgraded modern graphics or the classic visuals. Ayoub also
promised the original online mode will be untouched in the new
version. Six maps from Halo 2 will be recreated from
scratch using the power of Xbox One, and the package will offer
over 100 maps from the series’ history, all running in 1080p and 60
fps. It will also pack in 4,000 gamers’ ore points for achievement
hunters.

Nightfall
, the new digital series executive produced by Ridley
Scott, introducing a “major new character” according to Ross, and
leading up to the release of Halo 5: Guardians.
Speaking of? A Halo 5 beta will also launch alongside the
collection. November will be a massive month for Halo
fans.
