A woman has been arrested after she broke into a home because she ‘wanted beer’.

Lidia Zuradzka, 52, was detained after reportedly being found standing in the living room of a house in Illinois, USA.

At the time she was said to be holding a beer after swiping it from a table.

When asked by the owner of the property, who had been upstairs, why she was there she reportedly replied: ‘I want beer.’

This led the female owner to scream, prompting Ms Zuradzka to flee.

Ms Zuradzka, who had reportedly gained entry via an unlocked door, may be charged with burglary offences and has been detained on a bond of $100,000 (£60,000).
