Marlon King Jailed For Dangerous Driving

Ex-Premiership footballer Marlon King has been jailed for 18 months and banned from driving for three years for dangerous driving.

The former Sheffield United striker was involved in a crash in April 2013 that left a motorist with a broken arm.

He had pleaded guilty to a charge of driving dangerously at Nottingham Crown Court in March.

The court heard King had been eating an ice cream at the wheel when he caused a three-car pile up on the A46 in Nottinghamshire.

Recorder Paul Mann QC, who sentenced King at the same court on Thursday, said: “I do not regard your case as merely impulsive or silly behaviour.

“It was aggressive. It was arrogant.”
