Netflix Originals and dynamic geography: Girt by CNET podcast 88

After raking in armfuls of nominations (and a trophy or two) at the 2016 Emmys for its original programming, it was a banner year for Netflix. With the CFO announcing that soon half of all content on Netflix will be original programming, there may soon be more adorable children handing out sandwiches at major award shows.

Streaming services on the home front are also looking to original programming, and we talk about what that means for the future of TV and how networks have been put on notice.

Forza Horizon 3 is almost out, and despite playing fast and loose with Australian geography, the open-world driving game is pretty good. CNET’s Seamus Byrne sat down with Art Director Ben Penrose. They spoke about just how to capture the spirit of an entire country in a game, even if Surfers Paradise is in the wrong spot.
