New HD footage shows Kim Jong-Un is the spitting image of his late father Kim Jong-II

No, that’s not Kim Jong-Un with his latest stylish haircut, it’s actually his late father.

It seems the new North Korean leader shared much more than his dad’s taste for dictatorship, with a new high definition video from the 1980s showing the two were undistinguishable.

Kim Jong-II can be seen decked out in a black overcoat (similar to his son’s) as he visits a TV station.

The only difference being their hairstyles and that Kim barely cracks a smile unlike his son who can often be seen with a huge grin.

Of course it was before he took control in 1994, so the really fun times may not have begun yet.

The series of clips were re-released by North Korean state broadcaster KCTV to mark its transition to HD.
