There is something strange going on in this Surrey neighbourhood – so who you gonna call?
Probably not Milton Horman. While his name sounds like it might fit alongside Ghostbusters Egon Spengler and Peter Venkman, he is not a paranormal investigator.
But he does have the car for the job. Horman’s Ghostbusters homage stops traffic wherever he goes – and he even managed to transform the M25 into a ‘ghost town’ after taking his replica Ghostbusters car for a spin.
He told the BBC: ‘I looked in the rear view mirror and every single coach, truck, bus and car behind was getting ready to take photos of it as they passed.
‘It was like being David and Victoria Beckham.’
The Ghostbusters fan from Banstead picked up the 1959 Cadillac ECTO-1 ambulance five years ago but has put the iconic car up for sale – for a cool £175,000.
‘I just thought it would be fun to see what sort of response there is,’ he said.
‘It would be really heart-wrenching to let it go. It’s a great car and I love driving it.’
The 1984 Ghostbusters movie starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis – who died in February.
It spawned a 1989 sequel with a third movie rumoured to be in the pipeline for 2016.
