Top 10 most read: Best laptops, Lumia 950 review and Moonfruit downtime

The final full week of 2015 saw plenty of big stories, ranging from security problems to major new laws being agreed by the European Commission.

V3 readers were also interested in looking at our rundown of the top 10 laptops of the year, including those from Dell, Apple and HP. No doubt the information proved of use for some last-minute Christmas purchases.

Meanwhile, Microsoft’s first fully blown Windows 10 Mobile device, the Lumia 950, was put through its paces, and readers were keen to see what we thought, suggesting there is still interest in Microsoft’s mobile efforts.

Elsewhere, popular website hosting provider Moonfruit was forced offline, taking thousands of customer sites with it, following the threat of a cyber attack. Customers were not impressed as the downtime went on for almost 24 hours.

Finally, major new data protection rules were agreed by European politicians, including fines as high as four percent of annual turnover for firms that breach the new rules.
