A female university rowing club has been banned from Facebook after its nude charity calendar was branded as pornography.

The students, from The University of Warwick Rowing Society, ditched their life jackets for the cheeky photoshoot and sold 1,500 of their 2014 calendars, raising thousands of pounds for charity.

And despite the cash-strapped students managing to raise an incredible £3,400 for Macmillan Cancer Support by drumming up advertising on social media sites, they fell foul of Facebook’s notorious censorship policy.

After the page was removed, the society took to Twitter to publicise their cause and found support from all walks of life.
