It is not a good time to be a UK broadband customer. Last night Virgin Media suffered a nationwide DNS outage – rendering most of the web inaccessible for its customers.
Loving this “month-long service disruption” (customer service quote) from @virginmedia it’s cool I was barely using the internet anyway

Virgin Media has ruined my life.

The outage comes only days after BT customers suffered problems for an agonising three hours on Saturday morning.
Now here’s the weird thing: I’m a BT user and on Saturday I jokingly tweeted this conspiracy theory…
Conspiracy theory: BT’s DNS outage is the government testing taking down the internet for next time there is a riot/etc.

Once can be an accident… but twice in one week? Yeah, probably still an accident but let it be known the conspiracy theory started here.
