Dapper Laughs is a feminist now.

At least, he says he is. In an interview with journalist and campaigner Caroline Criado-Perez, the controversial comedian said: ‘If you asked me if I consider myself a feminist. I’d say yeah.’

‘I didn’t realise how much women had to deal with – sexual advances and sexual harassment – on an average day-to-day basis. I didn’t know how much of a problem it was until my content about it.’

Given this rather surprising volte-face from the banter-loving funnyman, we thought it might be an idea to take a look at his prior form on discussing women, and see how he compares to another celebrated feminist, Andrea Dworkin.

Dworkin, one of the best-known radical feminists of all time, was an outspoken critic of pornography and prostitution, a respected cultural theorist and the author of such titles as Pornography: Men Possessing Women, Woman Hating and Heartbreak: the Political Memoir of a Feminist Militant.
