World’s tallest drop ride Zumanjaro Drop of Doom at Six Flags

This stomach-churning attraction is the tallest ride in the world – topping Big Ben and the Statue of Liberty.

Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom, sends thrill-seekers up 41 storeys before plummeting down at 90mph for a pants-staining ten seconds.

The latest feature at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey was built to mark the amusement park’s 40th anniversary.

John Fitzgerald, Six Flags president, said: ‘Zumanjaro – you are picked up and brought over 400 feet in the air.

‘Now, I don’t know if anybody can really imagine what that’s really like to look down from 400 feet with just a harness holding you in place.

‘You get some fantastic views, but most folks have their eyes closed so they don’t get to take them in!’
